SUNY OER Services (SOS) and its partners, Lumen Learning and Carnegie Mellon University's Open Learning Initiative (OLI), focus on student success. This includes lowering costs for students, improving teaching and learning, and empowering faculty to use course materials that are best suited to their needs. Lumen and OLI provide evidence-based tools and approaches to learning experiences that are personalized and designed to improve student engagement.
SOS also provides faculty development opportunities that are designed to promote active learning and encourage inclusive teaching practices to strengthen student success. These resources are available at no-cost to Empire State University and include user-friendly technology, professional development, networking opportunities, and over 120 customizable ready-to-adopt courses provided through these partnerships. During this session, you'll learn about these services and the many benefits around using these resources.
