Community Conversation: How Eclipses Have Shaped History

Audeliz Matías, Ph.D., interim dean of the School for Graduate Studies and associate professor, will discuss how eclipses happen and how they have influence society. She will also provide guidance on how to safely view the total solar eclipse on the afternoon of April 8.  The presentation will be moderated by Algernon Kelly, academic success coach for SUNY Empire in Rochester. He will open the program with a short presentation that includes literary references to the eclipse.
