Community Conversation: From Scraps to Soil, featuring Professor Himanee Gupta

Community Conversation, featuring Professor Himanee Gupta, farmer and food justice advocate, on  September 21, from 11 a.m. to noon. 

 Gupta was awarded Empire State University’s 2022-2023 Turben Chair in Mentoring. The award, which provides a stipend and funds for research, enabled Gupta to create and implement several community-based farming and food justice projects. 

 In our hour together, Gupta will discuss one such initiative, a community Scraps to Soil compost collection project in collaboration with the Saratoga Farmers Market. There will also be time for questions and answers.
