Bio: Alexis Gooding is an aspiring entertainment and juvenile defense attorney from Brooklyn, New York. Alexis received her B.A. in Law & Government from Florida Memorial University, and an M.A. in Social & Public Policy from SUNY Empire State College’s School of Graduate Studies. She is currently a Legal Resident at Roc Nation, and a J.D. candidate at Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law. At Hofstra, Alexis is a Child and Family Advocacy Fellow, a member of the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association, a Student Ambassador, and Membership Chair of the Black Law Students Association. Outside of work and school, Alexis is active in her community. She co-founded Sisterhood in Me, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting women from underrepresented communities by connecting them to socio-economic resources, empowering them to seek leadership roles, and encouraging them to work cooperatively with other women. At the Nassau County Bar Association, Alexis is a Mentor for the Pre-Law Society Committee, and she volunteers at a local middle school to assist with the student government and mock trial programs. Her objective is to be the resource she needed while navigating her journey, for other young women and men.
