ADA: It's the Law

This webinar is designed to provide attendees with an understanding of SUNY Empire's legal obligations to provide accessible learning activities when working with students at a distance. The presenter will review sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and will discuss the difference between them and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The presenter will also introduce the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), and attendees will have the opportunity to explore best practices to ensure their teaching materials are compliant with federal guidelines.
