The purpose of this presentation is to take a closer look at student learning in higher education. Three first generation Honors College students from the University at Albany, facilitated by their professor, will discuss their preferred learning style, class size, how a class is taught, how they are assessed, and their overall satisfaction/learning. Panelists will share what teaching strategies, classroom environments, and motivating factors made the biggest impact on their learning in college. They will address their biggest challenges, resources they found most helpful, and share their thoughts on the pros and cons of students using AI for academic purposes.
